Guide for Preventing Inappropriate Treatment, Harassment and Sexual Harassment in the Film and TV Industry contains instructions for creating a safer working environment in the film and television industry. The guide clearly defines inappropriate treatment, harassment and sexual harassment, as well as provides concrete instructions for those encountering harassment, their supervisors and suspects, taking into account the special characteristics of the film and television industry. In addition, it highlights legislative perspectives and the employer’s obligations.

Prepared in cooperation with 44 different organisations and associations in the audiovisual industry, the guide was published in the spring of 2024. It is an updated version of the 2018 guide on sexual harassment.

The target audience consists of persons working in the audiovisual industry. The aim is to promote a safe and respectful working environment in which everyone can work without fear of harassment or inappropriate treatment. The idea is not to replace workplace- or production-specific practices. Instead, the guide is intended to support those working in the film and television industry.
